As well as  old favourites – the street market, a quiz, meals in interesting settings, visits to local producers of food and drink, and sociable dinner parties there will be foraging, star gazing, art, cookery demonstrations and a return of World Food Day. 

There will also be a competiton to reimagine the Devizes Pie for 21st Century. The original Devizes Pie was a feature of Devizes cuisine since at least the 17th century, some say earlier, but does not sound that nice today – brains and pickled tongue don’t sound that appealling. They are looking for two new, original recipe pies, served cold – one meaty, one vegetarian. Prizes are £100 vouchers from sponsor Walter Rose & Sons, the Devizes butchers.
