Steam Museum of the GWR

A must see for railway enthusiasts and non-railway enthusiasts alike, STEAM is housed in a lovingly restored Grade II listed building located on the site of the world-famous railway works.

The museum houses a fantastic collection of some of the greatest steam locomotives ever built and tells the story of the men and women who built, operated and travelled on the Great Western Railway.

See famous locomotives, ‘drive’ the train simulator and even work the signals in an interactive GWR signal box. The kids will love it!
