Make it a day to remember at beautiful and fun-filled Bowood

Bowood House & Gardens is one of those places that really does have something for everyone. The house is one of England’s finest Georgian Houses and the state rooms host a wealth of unique art and antiques with many historical treasures. Explore the family Library and Chapel, the room where Joseph Priestley discovered Oxygen in 1774, the Sculpture Gallery, the Orangery and a range of exhibition rooms.

As for the gardens, they are one of the best-preserved examples of a ‘Capability’ Brown Parkland. Bowood is also recognised for its award-winning walled gardens, an Italian-inspired terrace garden, an ever-changing herbaceous border and the most remarkable of all, The Woodland Gardens.

Mum and dad will love the house and gardens, but children are very much the focus of Bowood’s offer. Children aged 12 and under can enjoy a range of activities from walking along the treetops on a series of aerial walkways to pushing themselves to new heights and taking the plunge down the famous 19ft vertical drop Space Dive. The playground is also equipped with balance beams, boat swings, trampolines and climbing frames.

A newly revamped Soft Play Area provides a fun environment for children. Equipped with a ball pool, rope bridges, infinity lights, children can play safely whilst adults relax in the adult’s area.
